Mark your calendars now! You surely do not want to miss out on our 2020 REAL Fall Banquet!

Registration information will be in our next newsletter in September.
In March, we made the difficult long-term decision to consolidate into one centralized food storage and distribution location that would include commercial refrigeration, easy access, and the ability to expand.  We feel this is the key to supporting families in need in the Cocalico School District.  The renovations are well on their way to completion and we hope to open October 1st.
(Left above) Looking in from the garage door, their will be a distribution room in the front and storage room in the back.  There will be a small garage door that will separate the two rooms.  A second garage door will separate the back storage room from the left side of the building that will be general storage area until more food storage is needed.

(Right above) The stucco material is being laid on the building, giving the building a more modern and inviting look.

Power Packs registration opens 8/1 for any families of Cocalico School District students in the Free and Reduced Lunch Program (K-12).  Distribution will begin on October 7th.

REAL Life is the Cocalico affiliate of the Power Packs Project. The program includes a recipe and ingredients for one hot meal each week and a couple of staple items.  Each family must be in the free and /or reduced lunch program through the Cocalico School District. The Lighthouse is getting a makeover, REAL Life edition!  Thanks to a grant from the Hahn Family Foundation and inkind donation from JS Garman, CPH, and friends from a local MDS unit. This month we will see new flooring and windows going in and church groups coming to paint!
There are many other programs that can assist you too! Please call our office at 717-336-7797,  to talk with our Social Worker for more information!

Please consider how you might share your resources, and continue to pray for EMM workers across the globe
Despite the interruptions, the changes in our plans, and the disappointments of unfulfilled expectations in 2020, the mission of God goes on. EMM workers continue to cross cultures, engage the world, and make disciples of Jesus. Many have adapted their usual activities, teaching classes through video, connecting with friends and neighbors through care packages, volunteering for Meals on Wheels, and much more. We have also provided much-needed aid to various partner ministries around the world who do not have access to the resources we often take for granted.

In our world of increasing need, we invite you to consider a gift to EMM to support the ministry of extending hope to our world. With the trajectory we were following at the beginning of the year, if COVID-19 had not been part of our collective reality, we expect we would have received $750,000 for our life-sustaining Impact Fund by this Friday. As of today, we are about $99,000 short of that reality. Thanks to each person and congregation who has helped to close this gap in recent weeks. We are grateful for each gift that helps to sustain EMM mission work around the world.

Will you join us as partners in God's mission for the world by giving to support EMM's important work? Please consider how you might share your resources, and continue to pray for EMM workers across the globe so that the light of Christ might shine brightly.
