Hello!

I Hope this email finds you well! We are reaching out, with Christmas season around the corner, to see if your congregation would like to support a family for the Christmas Season. We feel strongly about empowering our participants so they can shop and buy gifts for their children. We want to support them being able to experience the joy that this brings a parent. By providing gift cards for each of their children, participants are then able to purchase for each child individually based on that child's wants and needs. This not only gives our participants the joy of giving to their children, but it also helps their budget so they can continue to be focused on the essentials needed for their housing and living expenses during the holidays. We currently have 16 children we are serving and our target is to provide a $50 Walmart or Target gift card for each of them. If you are interested in serving in this way please let us know.

Please also pray for all of our participants during this season as it can be a heavy time of mixed emotions.

Grace and Peace,

Caleb Simmers

Volunteers Needed
Are you looking for a meaningful opportunity to serve?  EMM is recruiting volunteers to serve in the receptionist area for four hours a week or as a volunteer driver when needed.  There are also opportunities to serve at HUB-450 with the refugee community.   Please get in touch with Sherrie Ober at 717-898-2251 or email her at sherrie.ober@emm.org with your interest,   Thank you for your consideration.

Did you know that while 80% of houses and apartments in the US have two or more bedrooms, more than 50% of households are 1 or two people? What can be done to change this imbalance? Landis Communities welcomes congregations, Sunday Schools, or small groups interested in thinking together about this. For more information, contact Larry Guengerich at LGuengerich@Landis.org or 717-381-3526.

Educational materials for Sunday school teachers
The Visitors Center is a source of Christian educational materials, including books and devotionals in English and Spanish, as well as stickers, posters, and study supplements. Our physical and online stores are stocked with historical guides, maps, commentaries, and Bibles for all ages. Browse the online store here.

The Martyrs Mirror plays a significant role in Anabaptist history, and a long-held respect for the book has led to the careful preservation of its many editions. Join us on Thursday, November 2, at 7:00 p.m. in the Mennonite Life Community Room for a special Collections Feature on this book. The event will showcase Dutch and German printings of the Martyrs Mirror dating back to the first edition published in 1660, and related early imprints from Mennonite Life's rare book collection.

Reserve your complimentary seat at this event by October 27 at https://mennonitelife.org/events/.
