Our Fall School of Wonder classes are in full swing. We started off the semester with the Cocalico Area Fire Company providing a free Fire Safety class.
We still have room in most of our Fall classes, including: Native Culture, where students get to hear from special guests coming to share on the diversity and richness of Native American culture. They will use artifacts from Woodcrest's collection of local Native culture while also showing students the art of making arrowheads and so much more.
Catapults & Kingdoms — In this history-based class, students will learn a bit of the history and science behind catapults. Students will work in groups to build a catapult and then participate in a series of games and challenges on the field to test their creation against other teams.
Appalachian Trail Adventure — Enjoy an adventure on the historic Appalachian Trail. We will camp one night. On the hike, we will cook our own meals, develop campcraft skills, and dig deep into God's Word. Students will meet at Woodcrest on Monday, September 22nd, at 9 am. We will shuttle students to the trailhead and return them to camp on Tuesday at 11 am. Upon registration, a packing list will be sent. Registration includes travel, meals, and snacks.
