Greetings from MWC! This e-newsletter is being sent to churches and individuals in Central PA to keep you informed of events related to PA 2015, the 16th Assembly of MWC which will be held in Harrisburg, PA July 21-26, 2015. Please help us spread the word, either by including some of these announcements in your church bulletin, or by forwarding to persons who may be interested. – Lynn Roth, MWC North America Representative

Don't miss this once-in-a-generation event!  Make plans now to attend PA 2015, the Global Assembly of Mennonite World Conference.  Prepare to be transformed as you worship and fellowship with Anabaptist brothers and sisters from around the world.  Experience the global Church through five days of great music, inspirational speakers from different countries, small sharing groups, tours, workshops, and much more. PA 2015 will be held July 21-26, 2015 in Harrisburg, PA.  Register online now at https://www.mwc-cmm.org/pa2015

Do you fit these volunteer needs?  Volunteers are at the heart of Pennsylvania 2015 Global Assembly.  Mennonite World Conference is currently looking for qualified volunteers to manage logistical aspects of Food Service, Transportation, and Lodging for Global Assembly, July 21-26, 2015. This work would begin part-time in February and continue through Assembly (full time).

Part-time team leaders in the areas of Food Service, Transportation, and Lodging are also needed and would require four hours per day during Assembly. If interested, or needing more information about any of these roles, please contact angeladietzel@mwc-cmm.org with a letter of interest and professional resume (if available).

Please pray with us. In the next two months, hundreds of people in Zimbabwe, India, Colombia, Indonesia, and many other countries will apply and interview for their US visas so they can participate in PA 2015, the Global Assembly of Mennonite World Conference.  Pray that the visa process will go smoothly for them, so that PA 2015 can be a truly global Anabaptist gathering!

Need more hosts for Assembly registrants. The MWC Private Guestroom Committee is still looking for hosts who live within an hour's drive of the Farm Show Complex. Hosts will offer a bed and breakfast and take their guests to a specified shuttle bus location. We currently have space for approximately 1000 Assembly registrants, but due to a healthy demand, we would like to have space for up to 1200. It's easy to sign up. Just go to the MWC Pennsylvania 2015 page (www.mwc-cmm.org/pa2015) and click on "Offer Home Stays" to see more information and fill out the application form. Questions may also be directed to Lyndell Thiessen at mwchomestays@gmail.com.

Call for Worship and Contemporary Art.  Art of many kinds will be on display at PA 15, the Global Assembly of Mennonite World Conference that will be held July 21-26 in Harrisburg, PA.  Artists are invited to submit contemporary art for a juried exhibit.  Churches are invited to display worship art (banners, tapestries, or other visual pieces) that represent their congregation.  There will also be displays of children's art and historical art.  For more information, visit

A note from our Executive Director, Roxanne Holcomb

Dear FRCC Friends,

I had an interesting experience a few weeks ago. I was meeting with two financial professionals whom I'd never before met. The gentleman said, "This is a good place; this is where I came when I needed counseling." The woman said, "I went to xyz for Christian counseling and was really helped there." Both of these people had some very difficult issues to work through and sought professional Christians to help them get through those issues victoriously. I walked away from that encounter blessed that we now live in a culture where people want to be healthy and recognize their bodies as being physical, emotional and spiritual.

As you know, one of FRCC's very own, Glenford Kauffman, has been nominated and is a runner-up for the Central Penn Parent Healthcare Hero Award for Children's Mental Health. Glenford will be honored at a breakfast sponsored by CPP at the Harrisburg Sheraton on Friday morning, March 27 at 7:30 AM.  If you want to attend, your cost for the breakfast is $45 and you can register here

We are actively preparing for our Garden Party Tea in May. Once again we will host a Silent Auction at the Tea. Each month we will provide you with more details so you can get the event on your calendar and plan to join us. Your teaser for the Garden Party Tea this month is that DavCo Advertising has donated a Hot Air Balloon Ride for two to our Silent Auction! If that is on your bucket list, or you want it as a gift for someone, please plan to attend!

We continue to nurture hope and facilitate healing,

Roxanne Holcomb

Executive Director

What the Media Isn't Reporting on ISIS' Beheading of 21 Christian Men

The tragic images of 21 young Christian Egyptian men about to be beheaded are almost impossible to see and process. This latest despicable act of barbarism has hit Sami Yacoub, our dear friend and the regional director for the Middle East's Focus on the Family's outreach in Egypt, hard.

Keep reading to learn some of Sami's perspectives and insights on the situation, including some facts not being reported by the media. And if you want to share prayers and encouragement with our brothers and sisters in the Middle East, please leave them in the comments section. We will pass them along with Sami.
