Subject: Denver Fair Faith & Family Night

Good Afternoon, Pastors & Friends,

I thought you might be interested in passing this information along to your congregations!

REAL Life Community Services was asked to host "Faith & Family Night" at the Denver Fair, Wednesday, September 15th, from 6-8pm!  This has not been around for many years and I felt that we needed to bring it back, and what better time to do than this year!

Join us that evening and enjoy entertainment for the entire family!  Jesse Rothacker will get everyone involved with his amazing reptile show!  And if you haven't heard of the band, "Three Cords Bound", you won't want to miss their music with a positive message!

We will also invite attendees to bring nonperishable, unopened, unexpired food items to donate to the Cocalico Food Pantry, a program of REAL Life Community Services at their Warehouse916 Food Distribution Center!  You'll also hear more about our food distribution and other programs of REAL Life Community Services and how you can get involved to further our mission, "Connecting the Community to Hope"!

Bring your lawn chair and enjoy the evening!  Also, don't forget to visit "REAL Icy Treats" stand (located in the long pavilion) to get your favorite slushy, soft ice cream, or (new this year), "Farm Show Milkshakes"!

For more information, don't hesitate to contact me!

Rod

Fwd: Training Experience for Future Leaders

Dear Church Leader,

Greetings from EMM!

Last year we started a new program called Advance. It is designed to help young people grow in discipleship and in service. We would like to ask you to consider who among the young adults you work with would be a good candidate to join Advance this year.

We continue to find leaders – pastors, missionaries, and servants of God in many fields – who had basic training and missions experience in their youth that helped form them and prepare them for what God called them to throughout their lives. Our question now is, who is God calling and preparing for the same kind of leadership in the future?

If you have someone you could send to Advance, contact us. We can give a discount on the price to anyone being sent by a Church leader.

The training is designed for the 18-29 year old age group, and can be done part time while the participant is also studying at college or working. The time commitment includes one full week of onsite discipleship training, one full day each month, and full or part time service in a ministry internship. To ensure adequate time for the application process, please contact us before September 1st.

More information about Advance is available on our website at: emm.org/advance

Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. We look forward to what God has in store for us as we walk together in His purposes.

May God bless you and all that you do.

Bishops, pastors and credentialed leaders,

I want to highlight for you the two upcoming discipleship/leadership training courses LMC is offering this Fall (see attached). These are not just for pastoral leaders, but for anyone who is interested in these topics. And I want to encourage you to see these as opportunities to develop up-and-coming leaders. Two students from recent classes have now enrolled in the STEP program for further ministry training. I am asking that you promote these courses by inviting various ones in your networks and congregations to attend. And, of course, you are welcome to be a part as well.

Thank you for your service and work!
