Hello friends, supporters, and partners!

We are thrilled to tell you the second annual May Gives More fundraiser starts this Friday, May 3rd! Every Friday in May, when you visit ANY of the six businesses above, a portion of sales will be donated to CrossNet Ministries!

No need to show a flyer, just head to Lickity Split, Fox Meadows Creamery, Skip's Food Truck, Twin Valley Coffee, New Holland Coffee Co, or Coffee Co New Holland on a Friday in May and you will be supporting CrossNet. It's that simple!

We'd love to see your pictures supporting CrossNet & these local businesses throughout the month of May! Whenever you go to these restaurants on a Friday to support CrossNet, be sure to tag us on social media!

If you have questions about this promotion, feel free to email carl@elancocross.org!

We hope to see you at one or all these restaurants in the month of May supporting the mission of CrossNet, local businesses, and enjoying a delicious meal or beverage!

EVENTS
Join us for two upcoming author talks at Mennonite Life.
May 9, 6:30 p.m. Author Talk: The Mennonite and Brethren Music of Peggy's War
Karl Rhodes will share his meticulously researched novel inspired by the true story of his great-great-grandmother, Peggy Rhodes. Peggy is a Mennonite living in the Confederate Shenandoah Valley during the Civil War. In the midst of her busy and often difficult life, she conceals Mennonite and Brethren refugees escaping the war. This event will also highlight hymns sung by Mennonite and Brethren refugees like the ones in the book.

July 25, 6:30 p.m. Author Talk: Amish Gardens of Lancaster County

Join us for an exploration of Amish kitchen gardens with author Beth Oberholtzer. Oberholtzer's book explores Amish family gardens as portraits of the women who design, tend, and harvest them. Included are 32 family recipes straight from the garden: hot-pepper jam, fried green tomatoes, sweet dill pickles, sauerkraut for a crowd, corn fritters, and creamed celery.

These events are complimentary and take place in the Mennonite Life Community Room.

See more details at mennonitelife.org/events.

1719 Museum!

The 1719 Museum is open for the season! Stop in Friday & Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., or book your tour in advance at mennonitelife.org and 1719 Museum Seasonal Hours

Summer Internship

Mennonite Life offers a Summer Internship Opportunity p in two areas: the archives and the museum. Working alongside staff members, interns will gain insight into the daily operation of a museum and archive. While the intern will work primarily in one of the two areas, they will be introduced to both throughout their time at Mennonite Life. Interns will also receive career counseling and coaching. Find application information at mennonitelife.org/about/employment/.
