Canadian seniors give for sustainability

Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada – Eighty-nine-year-old John Penner still goes to work three times a week in the business he co-owns with his sons in Calgary. Travelling days are over – he walks with cane and his wife Katie relies on a walker – but "we are trying to keep ourselves busy and also to help other people."

MWC financial update

We are grateful for the steady flow of contributions in support of Mennonite World Conference, whether from our national member churches, local congregations, or individuals. During the first part of the year, we received strong support for our core activities; however we still rely on end-of-year contributions to meet our financial commitments.

Fwd: Thanksgiving greetings

---------- Forwarded message ----------
From: Glenna Sollenberger <glenna_sollenberger@sil.org>
Date: Wed, Nov 22, 2017 at 4:56 PM
Subject: Thanksgiving greetings
To: "Marty Sollenberger (Marty Sollenberger)" <Marty_Sollenberger@sil.org>

This Thanksgiving we have much to be thankful for. We are especially grateful for you and your partnership in our ministry with Wycliffe Bible Translators. It is such a blessing to serve with Wycliffe, knowing that together we are making a difference in the lives of Bibleless people around the world. But we couldn't do it without you, our financial and prayer partners and interested friends. Thank you so much!

This Thanksgiving, we take time to be thankful to God for His blessings in our lives. Perhaps the greatest blessing is having a Bible in our language. Through it, we can read words of comfort for our darkest times. We can learn of God's love for us when He sent His Son Jesus to die for our sins. And we can grow in our relationship with God as He reveals Himself through His Word.  In the midst of our busy schedules, we pause to spend time with Him and tell Him how grateful we are.

May God bless you and your families. Happy Thanksgiving!

Yours in Christ,

Marty and Glenna Sollenberger
