Happy New Year from all of us here at REAL Life Community Services! We're thankful for all that YOU have helped us complete this past year!

What New Year's resolution are you looking to make?!  If your looking to serve your community and volunteer in 2020, we would love to have your help!
Volunteer needs:
--People that can help lift 50lbs of food for Power Packs food distribution on Wednesday and Thursday mornings.
--Mentors for the Lighthouse Youth Center on Tuesday evenings.
--
We are also looking for people to help with emergency car and house repairs.

If your interested and have time to donate yourself to help others, please fill out an application! We will be in touch with you!

Rapid Response Team!

We are creating a group of people that would be able to quickly respond to needs in our community. These needs may be anything like; changing a tire, helping with repairs, fixing a furnace, cleaning up water in the basement, chopping up a tree. Or even something as simple as giving someone a ride to work because their car wouldn't start. There are many different needs, and we want you to be apart of this team!

With the impressive leadership of Kelly Ernst Warner, Hub Coordinator, we have seen some strong programs being developed in our community to help families in need!  One of the "Top-Prize" accomplishments is collaborating with the Ephrata Public Library and Ephrata Area Social Services to create the:
The Hub Bus
Powered by the United Way, this Hub bus runs 5 days a week for FREE!
More stops being added in 2020!!
This is a community dinner that is built to uplift, empower and find stories of amazing individuals who are thinking critically about their community.  Pay $5 for a meal, listen to 4 social project presentations, then visit and discuss the 4 ideas with those around your table and vote on your favorite idea!  The idea with the highest vote gets the cash to implement their plan!  Learn more by clicking HERE!

Attention Businesses

REAL wants to invite you and your organization to partner with us.  Annually, we hold two a couple banquets a year and 2-3 other special events for which we need sponsorships.  In place of coming to you prior to each event, we would like you to consider adding us to your 2020 budget.

As a partner, you would be recognized depending on the level at which you choose to join us.

Executive Partner - $5,000 a year ($1,250/quarter).  This level would garner mention at all REAL Life Community Services events, allow your company banner to be displayed at each event, logo listed on the event sponsor list, a reserved table at each banquet, and put the partner's name/logo on our website.

Corporate Partner - $2,500 a year ($625/quarter).  This level would earn the partner mention at all REAL Life Community Events, name/logo listed on the event sponsor list, name/logo displayed on our website, and reserved table at each banquet.

Community Partner - $1,200 ($100 a month).  This level is partnership in banquets and would reserve a table at each event for that partner with name listed on the event sponsor list.

Please consider these options in your 2020 Fiscal Budgets.  We appreciate your support!

Mental Health & Wellness Night Video Teaser

Anxiety. Depression. Stress. Peer Pressure. How can you help your child navigate these challenges? Join Dr. Doug Friesen, Licensed Psychologist, and other area pastors, parents and educators at our upcoming free seminar - Parenting for Mental Health & Holistic Growth - and ask all the questions you want!

Wondering - how do I help my child flourish in a competitive world?

This LM Parent Seminar and Q&A panel of mental health professionals, educators, pastors, and parents will discuss and wrestle with questions that parents have about how we can cultivate a climate of mental health and holistic growth for our students, specifically related to factors that are contributing to increased anxiety and depression.

Parent & Staff Panel Discussion Questions:
  • How can I help mitigate the pressures my child faces - ie. to achieve, to specialize prematurely, to fit in, to stand out, and FOMO (Fear of Missing Out)?
  • What practices have been beneficial in your family or for families you work with?
  • What can I do as a parent to promote positive mental health for my child?

Join Us Near You - 3 Session Dates & Locations:
All seminars are free and open to the public. You are encouraged to bring friends with you, even those that don't attend LM schools!
