We're All the Bosses of Our Own Bodies

By Marathana Prothro

Oh, the awkwardness of unsolicited hugs. Most parents have experienced uncomfortable—even dreaded—moments when our child refuses to hug or kiss someone who truly has the purest of intentions.

Forty-six people participated in the event, representing seventeen entities. Brenda Yoder, LHMC and member of the Dove's Nest's Speaker Bureau, led the main workshop. Children Are Not Props

By Brenda Yoder, Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Speaker's Bureau Member

I came across a beautiful photo on my Instagram feed. It was lovely. Everything was propped and proportioned so meticulously. It had shoes and travel accessories laid out on a surface with a beautiful baby—about one year old, with a flat look on her face—lying on her back in a suitcase.

Yoder's Restaurant & Buffet,
14 South Tower Road, New Holland, PA 17557

EMM has existed for well over 100 years, always striving to fulfill its calling. But it is important to step back from time to time and ask: What is EMM's role in today's world? Why does EMM exist? At the 2016 vision and fundraising banquet, hear from EMM president Nelson Okanya about EMM's call to share good news in a broken world.

Don't forget to register online by October 1 at emm.org/banquet to attend or to host a table.
