DESCRIPTION OF RESOURCE: Peace Sunday (Sept. 18) is a time to remember our call to be people of peace. The MCC Ottawa Office prepared a worship resource for churches to use that day, focusing on the ways women creatively and courageously pursue peace, often at great risk. Although the packet is Canadian based, the resources are applicable to U.S. churches as well. Download the free "Women as Peacebuilders" resource to start planning your service.
Meet the MCC U.S. Peace Education Coordinator

Jes Stoltzfus Buller was recently named the Peace Education Coordinator for Mennonite Central Committee, National Programs. For the past eight years, Jes has lived in Colombia, South America, where she worked with MCC's Anabaptist partner organization on the Caribbean Coast, Sembrandopaz (Sowing Peace). Her work included community development, nonviolent training and regional peacebuilding. Jes is currently living in Goshen, IN and working out of the MCC Great Lakes office. In the next year, she will be traveling around the country and is very interested in visiting churches and groups to share about her work and experiences in Colombia, and/or to listen to your congregation's thoughts on what MCC's peace program might focus on in this current context of division and violence. For more information about setting up a visit, please email Jes directly at JessicaBuller@mcc.org.
