Fwd: Prayer Request - Ron Sider Family

Subject: Prayer Request - Ron Sider Family
To:

Dear colleagues in ministry,
We just received the sad news that Ron Sider passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday evening from cardiac arrest. An ordained minister and member of Oxford Circle Mennonite Church, Ron was a nationally known author and tireless advocate of social justice. In his writing and speaking, Ron called all followers of Jesus to put their faith into action to address poverty and injustice. Christianity Today just released an excellent article about Ron's life and ministry:

Please hold Ron's wife, Arbutus, and the Sider family in your prayers as they grieve his passing. Pray that they will find comfort in the promises of God's Word; He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. (Rev.21:4)

Thank you!

Did you know...

Did you know Sixty tons of crayons are manufactured every day?
Millions of pounds of crayons are discarded annually throughout the United States. Wax crayons are made of petroleum, a chemical that is toxic to our environment. If crayons are not recycled they eventually end up in landfills and never biodegrade. New Danville Church is collecting unwanted crayons throughout the summer for donation to The Crayon Initiative, a non-profit organization, which will recycle the old crayons into new crayons that will be distributed to children's hospitals across the United States. If your children's ministry or church would like to learn how they can partner with New Danville in collecting crayons, send an email to office@newdanvillechurch.com.
