True Eyes!

a bright lantern hangs from a branch in an otherwise dark room.

A Blind Pastor's Take on Sight

When Jesus said, "The eye is the lamp of the body," in his Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 6:22), he meant the physical eye. Of course, I would never argue with Jesus on that score. Actually, I would affirm him. The eye in all ways is the lamp of the body. But for me, it's the eye of the spirit, the eye that allows me to see beyond what the world sees in many aspects. Jesus goes on to talk about the whole body being filled with either light or darkness, depending on how wide open your eyes are…

Greetings!

Spring is here, and so is the perfect opportunity to make a difference in the lives of moms, dads, and babies in our community!

🌸 Please join us for Move for Life 2025 on May 10 at The Junction Center in Manheim — a day full of championing life, celebrating God's faithfulness, and family fun!

Don't forget: In honor of our 40th anniversary, we're doing something special! Every time we hit a "40" registration milestone (40th, 140th, 240th, etc.), we'll enter all registrants up to that point into a prize drawing for one-of-a-kind Move for Life socks.

🚨Don't miss out — the sooner you register, the better your chances of winning!

Move for Life is about moving lives forward through the work we're doing together. Your participation directly supports our free pregnancy services, compassionate abortion recovery care, parenting education programs, and our mission to spread the gospel and champion life.

LMC Updates

"I am the pastor at Zion Mennonite Church in Birdsboro, PA. Last year, I began a membership class with a few folks who were interested in journeying with us.

One young woman shared deeply with us about her life choices that took her far away from God. During our discussions, the Lord prompted me to keep sharing with the larger group about God's goodness and desire for relationship with his children.

God moved in this young woman's heart in such a way it encouraged her to embrace the concept that God is for us, he loves us, and he desires for us to live in a trusting relationship with him! It was awesome to see first-hand how God transformed this woman before my eyes. He even began to heal some of her mental health issues as she deepened her relationship and walk with the Lord.

She said she had never had someone explain God's desire for a relationship with his children so clearly before her time together with this class.

Last Resurrection Sunday, I had the opportunity to baptize her as a sign of her recommitment to following Christ. To God be the glory!"

Join the Mission of LMC
The LMC community is in a season of growth! Since 2018, we have welcomed 133 new congregations into our conference. Despite this, donations over the years have remained about the same, and are now beginning to decrease. Would you prayerfully consider joining us in being a Spirit-led movement and donating to LMC? We are grateful for the opportunity to continue ministering alongside you.
