We invite you and members of your congregation to attend the annual New Person Ministries Banquet, Tuesday, March 10, in Morgantown.

Jeffrey K. Sprecher, judge of the Berks' County Court of Common Pleas, is the featured speaker at the NPM Spring fundraising banquet, March 10, Conestoga Mennonite Church, Morgantown, PA. The banquet will also feature music by the Voices of Triumph Choir, made up of men from NPC and Hope Rescue Mission, and will feature testimony of changed lives offered by current residents, alumni, and staff.

Judge Sprecher is author of Justice or Just This: A Constitutional Trespass, a critical assessment of mandatory sentencing requirements enacted by the PA legislature.

The judge has a long history of involvement in criminal justice reform. He received his undergraduate degree from Kutztown University in 1972 and worked the next five years as a research planner for the Pennsylvania Governor's Justice Commission, where he helped draft a comprehensive plan for improvement of the criminal justice system. He received a Master's Degree in Public Administration in 1976 and his law degree six years later. In addition to serving on the bench, he teaches law and judicial management in undergraduate and graduate programs at Albright, Alvernia, and St. Joseph's University.

Reservations for the banquet are required and seating is limited. Call 610-777-2222, or send written reservation requests to P.O. Box 223, Reading, PA 19607 or by e-mail to info@newperson.org

There is no cost for the banquet, but a free-will donation will be collected. Conestoga Mennonite Church, 2779 Main Street, Morgantown, PA is on Route 23, just west of Morgantown and east of Churchtown.
