Campaign co-chair honored by Lancaster Chamber of Commerce
Stewardship and community have always been central values in Aaron Groff's life. From his days growing up on the family farm, through his career at Ephrata National Bank, and into his church and family life, Aaron has been a leader in this area for many years. And earlier this month, that leadership and service was recognized by the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce which awarded Aaron with the Exemplar Award, an award given annually to a "local leader who has made significant contributions to community organizations and has demonstrated a long-term commitment to the Lancaster Community."

A stalwart in the Ephrata community, Aaron recently retired from his role as the president of Ephrata National Bank in December 2019, after having worked there for 53 years. When remembering Aaron's legacy at the bank, one colleague remarked, "He probably cares the least about dollars and cents of any bank president. He cares about people, about the relationships and investing in those relationships. The only reason money is important is because it can impact lives."

Aaron has served on EMM's Investment Fund advisory committee for many years and most recently has helped lead the Moving in Mission Capital Campaign by serving as a co-chair of the Steering Committee. We are so thankful for Aaron's generosity and service, and for his dedication to be an active part of God's mission in this world. Congratulations, Aaron!
Volunteers install donated cabinets
One of the ways this community has shown support for the mission of EMM and the vision for a new ministry center at 450 North Prince Street is through the donation of materials and labor to the renovation project. Hundreds of volunteer hours have been given by generous individuals to help us tear down, rewire, and clean up.

But construction and remodeling contractors have also partnered through contributions of donated materials and time. This past week, a team of volunteers installed cabinets and bookshelves donated through the generosity of a local couple and Conestoga Country Kitchens. Thank you for sharing your resources, time, and talents, and for making our new space so flexible and beautiful!
Sneak peaks!

Want a sneak peak of the nearly finished building at 450 North Prince Street? There are two ways you can do that:
1. Volunteer to clean!

We all know cleaning can be a chore, but isn't cleaning someone else's space always better than cleaning your own? Can you wash windows, vacuum, mop, dust? Do you have a few hours to spare on a Thursday night or Saturday morning? As construction nears completion, there is some cleaning that needs to be done in order to prepare for EMM to begin our ministry in the city. Gather a few friends and sign up to join us!

Questions? Contact Andrew Mashas at 717-898-2251 ext. 220 or andrew.mashas@emm.org.
2. Take a tour!

Would you like to hear a little more about the mission of the hospitality center or see the space where you'll soon be able to come visit your favorite EMM staff members? There are several socially distanced tours happening each week and there is room for you! Click the button below or contact kate.grieser@emm.org to join a tour.
Visit EMM.ORG/450 for more detailed information about the project and the vision behind it.
