God is using EMM workers Garry and Ruth* to advance His kingdom in Israel. In the midst of the generations-old conflicts, we're beginning to see reconciliation — the peace of Jesus is changing lives. At the heart of this movement of the Spirit is the new reality of Hebrew-speaking and Arabic-speaking people learning to become brothers and sisters in the Lord.
Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, these churches had been gathering in people's homes. Garry and Ruth feared that the lockdowns would hamper the churches' growth. House churches divided into smaller groups. In order to accommodate the sudden change, leaders began to provide training for new leaders online. Soon, it became apparent that God was making a way for continued multiplication even in adversity.
In the midst of a global pandemic, Garry and Ruth have sought to creatively connect these people through the wonders of modern technology. Using Zoom and WhatsApp, these new believers are building relationships, growing in their faith, and being discipled to share the gospel with others.
