Web Version Thank You to our Supporters! Happy End of July! Can you believe that we are in the dog days of summer as we near August? We hope this finds you well and cool. Much has been happening with CWS-Lancaster, which we are excited to share with you!  Over the past few weeks, CWS Lancaster has seen a major increase in donations, both in-kind and monetary- and for this we would like to THANK YOU! Through the generosity of several new and current community donors, we have completely furnished the homes of at least eleven newly arriving refugee families. More than half of these residences have been for families of four or more.  But wait, there's more! Not only have we furnished the eleven households, we have also received more in-kind donations in the past month, than we ever have in one month. Our current inventory shows that we could essentially furnish apartments for the next two months. That's incredible! Plus, we have received a VERY generous monetary donation from an individual donor who wishes to remain anonymous- but of course this cannot go unrecognized. Thank you.  And finally, we have oriented fourteen new volunteers, who will begin working with our refugee clients and families within the weeks to come. These volunteers have interests and talents ranging from hair cutting, to family mentoring, to welcome team organizing.   It must be said, that we could not do the work that we do for refugees and immigrants of Lancaster County without the support and compassion that you, our community partners, have shown for our clients. You made it possible to bring the latest Congolese family of ten, the numerous Cuban clients, a Somali family of five, and the many others from Burma, Bhutan and Ethiopia. As the new school year begins, so do our fall events! So please be on the lookout through Facebook and emails of ways that you can continue to show your support.
