Participate in a Meat Canning Event

MCC's canning team will visit sites throughout the East Coast region in February and March 2017, working with volunteers to prepare cans of meat that will be sent around the world. Visit mcc.org/canning to find a canning site near you.

 
 

Book Release Launch Party

Come celebrate the release of A Vietnam Presence: Mennonites in Vietnam During the American War, Friday, February 17, at 6:30 p.m. at the Eastern Mennonite Missions meetinghouse (53 W Brandt Blvd, Salunga, PA 17538). This 600-page book is a significant accomplishment by Luke S. Martin, a former missionary in Vietnam during the Vietnam War and highlights some of MCC's work there as well.

Washington Office High School Essay Contest Announced

Participate in the MCC U.S. Washington Office's essay contest and you could win $1,000! The contest is open to Anabaptist youth of high school age or youth who attend Mennonite high schools in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. This year's topics include: gun violence in the U.S., Colombia and immigration. Essays are due January 27, 2017. For more information, visit mcc.org/essay-contest.

Summer Service Grant Money Available

Do you have a project or dream that you'd like to see fulfilled in your church/community? How might a young adult of color, aged 18-30,  from your church/community help to further that dream or vision in 6-10 week term of summer service? With focus on leadership development, MCC is offering grant monies to churches/organizations who desire to utilize the skills and gifts of their young adults in summer service assignments.   To learn about this program and/or request an application packet due March 31, 2017, visit mcc.org/summer-service.
