Meet New LMC Staff Member
Global Delegate
Pastor Tom Eshleman has been named LMC's Global Delegate. This new role was developed to help LMC strengthen its connections and relationships with our fraternal partners around the world.
Tom continues his pastoral ministry but also engages in this part-time support role. Tom serves as pastor at Groffdale Mennonite Church in Leola, PA where he has served since 2005.
He and his wife Jennifer have three children, ages 16, 13 and 11. Tom has a strong interest in cross-cultural interaction going back to his days as a public school teacher in Harrisonburg, VA relating with immigrant students and their parents from around the world. Short-term mission and study experiences in Jamaica, Central America, and Africa also impacted Tom. As a pastor, opportunities to relate with the global church energize him for the mission and witness of the local church.

We Help Children
Hebrews 11 says we walk by faith not by sight, and goes on to list the heroes of the faith. By faith, God keeps growing our ministry called We Help Children and we are receiving more heroes to help us! We just received a nurse providing medical clinics in dirt poor villages and a horse therapy leader to help children heal in orphanages in Central America. Our ministry goal is to provide the Best Services for children in the worst places. We now have multiple interns, volunteers and missionaries serving in multiple countries helping children in crisis, including in inner city Chicago. What our growing ministry needs now are heroes serving in these new missionary positions: Development Director, Newsletter Writer, and Prayer Group Coordinator. Anyone sensing God's tug to be a hero for children in crisis can visit us at www.WeHelpChildren.org.

Relief Kits and Comforters Needed
MCC is currently requesting donations of relief kits and comforters. Relief kits provide valuable supplies to families whose lives have been disrupted by war or disaster. A handmade comforter provides not only warmth but also a tangible message to people that their needs are not forgotten. For more information on either of these items and other kits, visit mcc.org/kits, or contact the Material Resources Center in Ephrata, Pa., at (717) 733-2847 or EastCoastMRC@mcc.org.

Let's face it. Worship attendance can be sporadic in the summer time because of vacations, camps, and the different pace of summer time. How can we continue to connect with the families in our congregations during this time?   Enter "Take-out Church," a pizza box full of games, activities, crafts and stories that follow the themes of your church's services during the summer.
Come and create a sample of a "take-out" box and discover ideas of how to connect with your church's families and keep them connected to the worshiping body!
The cost is $15 for nonmembers. Click here to register.
