Web Version Two Events, Two Days Happy Sunday!  We want to send a quick reminder of two events that will be taking place in support of refugees and immigrants of Lancaster County, both today and tomorrow. We hope to see you there! TONIGHT: Sunday, April 30th at the Claire Performance Hall, Millersville University starting at 7pm The New Colossus Concert is comprised of musicians, poets, dancers and witnesses. All of whom aim to demonstrate the courage of an immagrant throughout their journey to America. This concert is designed as a benefit to Church World Service (CWS), a national organization with an exceptional branch here in Lancaster that has helped to settle around 400 individuals each year to central Pennsylvania. All proceeds of this benefit will be donated to CWS. This event is presented by the All Campus Musical Organization of Millersville University. Tomorrow, May 1st at 6:30pm, Penn Square, Lancaster-- Lancaster Welcomes: A Celebration of Immigrants & Refugees, On May 1st Lancaster will affirm our values of compassion, diversity, and respect, as we stand together as a united community. Some of us have lived here for generations, while others are newcomers. From many lands, with myriad stories of how we arrived here, together, we are Lancaster. We value every single person here in our community. On Monday, May 1st, we will gather in Penn Square, at 6:30pm, as part of a national day of action. We will celebrate our community and declare our shared values of hospitality, love, and solidarity that connect us to each other, and call us to stand with the most vulnerable among us. There will be music and community speakers.
