Meet our Featured Speaker
Matthew Ross

Matthew's passion for horticulture is contagious! As Longwood Gardens' Director of Continuing Education, his knowledge and expertise cover a wide range of gardening topics including Ornamental Horticulture, Landscape Design, Visual Arts and Floral Design. Before arriving at Longwood in 2014, he was chief horticulturalist of the Botanical Gardens in Toledo, Ohio.

Additionally, Matthew has taught at Owens State College where he developed an organic farm and training center for the Urban Agriculture Curriculum. Matthew is a proud Master's graduate of Michigan State University in Horticulture Science with emphasis on Landscape Design and Urban Forestry.

Join us March 17th at the Desmond Great Valley Hotel for our Nineteenth Annual Garden Luncheon to hear Matthew Ross' presentation:
Harbingers of Spring Beauty before the Tulips Bloom.
Your support at this event will help Bridge of Hope at Good Samaritan Services, continue our important work in the community, allowing us to offer:
  • Emergency shelter
  • Transitional housing
  • Long-term affordable housing
  • Rapid rehousing
  • Permanent housing support
  • Bridge of Hope program site
Working across two counties, accepting people into the program without regard to age, race, gender, religion or sexual orientation, we have created a program that addresses the broad range of needs faced by those struggling with homelessness in our community.

We hope you will join us and support this important work in Chester and Lancaster County.
With a grateful heart,
Nate Hoffer
Chief Executive Officer
