Leaders and Emerging Leaders,
LMC has worked with Rosedale Bible College and CMC (Conservative Mennonite Conference) to design a ministry training program through distance learning. The result is Training in MInistry or TiM.  The courses use the newest online strategies for securing successful distance learning.

In September 2020, the first two courses are offered:
Shawn Otto, Congregational Counseling
Troy Landis, Discipling Others

Winter term, the following classes are offered:
Monica Jefferson, Spiritual Formation
Preston Yoder, Congregational Care

These classes earn undergraduate credit. Rosedale Bible College has scheduled two virtual Open Houses to learn more about the program.

Eastern Mennonite Missions Presidential Search

Eastern Mennonite Missions is searching for a collaborative, mission-hearted change leader to be its next president. This person will be spiritually passionate about living a life that is being transformed by Christ. The president will serve as a collaborative leader who can work with teams and a broad constituency. The EMM presidential search team will be receiving applications through July 31, with a goal of recommending a candidate to the EMM Board by November. Learn more about this exciting opportunity at emm.org/presidentialsearch

Volunteer opportunity with Eastern Mennonite Missions
Need a break from being at home? There is an opportunity for you to volunteer at EMM's new office building at 450 North Prince Street, currently under construction. We're looking for help pulling new ethernet cables throughout the building. The work is not very physically demanding, however, volunteers should be in reasonably good health. We will follow strict COVID-19 guidelines, by providing work masks for all volunteers, and everyone must abide by 6-foot social distancing parameters. If you're interested in signing up for a time during the month of June, you can go to emm.org/cables
Cancelation of Eastern Mennonite Missions Events
EMM staff members have spent the past several months closely following the COVID-19 developments and praying diligently for all who are being impacted. We have made the challenging decision to CANCEL Global Fair and the worker commissioning service this summer. We have also modified our Kingdom Team experience to an online setting. We're hoping that conditions will allow us to have the EMM banquet on November 12. Make sure to check emm.org for the most up-to-date information.

Dear LMC: A Fellowship of Anabaptist Churches,
Over the last several months, we've been working with EMM workers in three different countries to help tell their stories through video. We've brought these stories together in a video series called "Stories of crossing cultures, engaging the world, and making disciples of Jesus."

This is the core of who we are at EMM, and we want your church to be some of the first people to see these videos. Go to EMM.ORG/STORYVIDEOS to access these stories from the Czech Republic, Germany, and Southeast Asia. We encourage you to use them in your Sunday web-streamed services, digital bulletins, or however you want to share these encouraging videos with your church.

Then, starting on Monday, May 18, followed by May 25 and June 1, we'll be premiering each of these videos on Facebook at 8 p.m. ET. If you don't already follow us on Facebook, we encourage you to do so and share these premieres with your friends.

In Christ's peace,
Andrew Mashas

The No Longer Alone Family Support Group, now supported by Landis Communities, will continue to meet the fourth Sunday of every month.  The guest speaker for June will be Janelle Bitikofer, LCSW, author and External Grants Coordinator for Mennonite Central Committee. Her presentation on "Dual Diagnosis: How Addictions and Mental Illness Interact and What to Do About It" will be followed by a time of sharing. The public meeting is scheduled for Sunday, June 28 from 3:00- 5:00 p.m. by Zoom. Meetings will be held via Zoom until further notice and will return to Landis Communities as soon as possible. The monthly meetings provide a place for those who have a loved one living with mental illness to learn and share their experiences. For information on joining the Zoom meeting or to receive a monthly meeting reminder, call 717-381-3500 or email JAlbright@landis.org by noon on Friday, June 26.

As the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact our area, please continue to be in prayer for all of the affiliates of Landis Communities. To learn the most current updates, please see http://www.landiscommunities.org/covid/.  We are grateful for all the ways congregations are remembering us during these times.
During these uncertain times, people have been wondering how they can help when they are to be keeping a distance from people and many volunteering options have been curtailed.  Landis Communities is seeking assistance in creating reusable facemasks.  Please see the attached information for the masks we are seeking for use at Landis Homes and Welsh Mountain Home.  Finished items made be dropped off at either location.  If you have questions, please contact Moniqua Acosta in Volunteer Services 717-509-5409.  The following video link will be helpful as you create them.  https://youtu.be/ueWkAuY3k6Y
