LMC staff wishes you a blessed and a
Celebration of Church Life 2021 will take place on March 20, 2021. It will be a half-day event and a completely virtual event because of Covid-19. In addition, the Spring Leadership Assembly, which is typically the day before Celebration of Church Life, is postponed until later in 2021, date and place to be announced.

Fraktur & Painted Frame Online Workshop 
Winter Workshop: Fraktur & Grain-Painted Painted Frame - Are you fascinated with the PA German folk art of fraktur? Have you always wanted to try it for yourself? Attend an online workshop on Saturday, January 23, 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm. Paint a fraktur and create a grain painted frame to display your work. Exclusively on Zoom. Register now at bit.ly/FrakturFrame. Winter Workshop: Genealogy Research in Online Newspapers - Presented by Kristin Wenger via Zoom on Tuesday, February 9 from 7 pm to 8:30 pm. Register now at bit.ly/GenOnlineNews. Tickets cost $35.  For more information HERE.  In this interactive, fast-paced 90-minute workshop for intermediate genealogists, we will take a deep dive into the treasure trove that awaits you in digitized newspaper collections. Learn how you can make more fascinating finds about your family history by applying search strategies that maximize success!

The Memory Loss Support Group is sending out a monthly newsletter to interested people with helpful information about supporting a person with memory loss. If you would like to receive the newsletter, email Christy Carpenter at ccarpenter@landis.org to be placed on the mailing list.
The No Longer Alone Family Support Group, now supported by Landis Communities, will continue to meet on the fourth Sunday of every month.  The guest speaker for January will be Brenda Long, MSW, former Executive Director of NLAM. Her presentation on "Experiences of Caring for a person experiencing a Mental Health breakdown during COVID-19" will be followed by a time of sharing.
 
The public meeting is scheduled for Sunday, January 24, 2021, from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. by Zoom. Meetings will be held via Zoom until further notice and will return to Landis Communities as soon as possible. The monthly meetings provide a place for those who have a loved one living with mental illness to learn and share their experiences.

Pathways Institute for Lifelong Learning® provides learning opportunities for persons age 55 plus. All are invited to join the Spring 2021 term which will run from March 3 – June 14, 2021. Most of the courses will be offered virtually. The classes are operated in Lancaster County by Landis Communities and in the Capital Region by Messiah Lifeways.  The kickoff event is planned for Tuesday, January 26, 2021 from 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm.
