Just Released - New Issue of FLOURISH

This Special Edition of Flourish contains the Community Impact Annual Report and highlights stories focused on four key priorities within Landis Communities: Meaningful Living, Community, Wellness, and Growth. In this issue, you'll read how community members make intentional choices to live life to the fullest, how connections are strengthened both within our communities and throughout Lancaster County, how creativity and music enrich daily life, and how learning and sharing support wellness and thriving as we age. These stories reflect the meaningful changes happening across the organization as we move forward together.

In these pages, you will read:

Blooming with Compassion: Landis Homes resident Rich Braine volunteers with Hospice & Community Care, tending the hospice rose gardens to bring comfort to families.

Harmony of Family and Faith: Siblings David and Dale Umble and Mary Ellen Ness, connected to Landis Homes, Welsh Mountain Home, and Lancaster Downtowners, share how music, faith, and family shape their lives across the Landis Communities family.

A Journey of Faith and Integrity: Longtime missionaries Don and Judy Stoltzfus, supported by Graceful Transitions as they moved into their cottage at Landis Homes, reflect on the values and experiences that led them to their new home.

The Next Premiere: Resident Bob Jones of Landis Place on King describes how regular "premiere nights" and friendships have deepened his sense of belonging.

Piece by Piece: Charles and Bobby, clients at Landis Adult Day Services, show how small acts of connection build a strong sense of community.

Anna's Journey of Nursing: Retired nurse and Landis Homes resident Anna Frederick looks back on her decades of nursing and the joy she found caring for older adults.

When Neighbors Sing, Community Grows Stronger: A group of musically gifted neighbors from Mountain View Terrace share how singing together strengthens friendships and well-being.

Age-Friendly Plan Unfolds: The Age-Friendly Lancaster City partnership, spanning Landis Communities, the City of Lancaster, and Lancaster Downtowners, lays out priorities for making the city more livable for older adults.

Images of Lancaster: Lancaster Downtowners Mimi Shapiro, Sharon Stephan, and Andy Berfond (also an LPK resident) describe their collaborative public-art photo collage at the Lancaster Amtrak Station.

The Landis Communities guiding values of Joy, Compassion, Integrity, Stewardship and Community are woven throughout these stories. Click on the image above to find the digital version of the magazine.
