A workshop on the new Pennsylvania child abuse and neglect mandatory reporting law and the "red flags" of child abuse and neglect will be conducted 6:30-9 pm, Thursday, March 26 at Grace Fellowship Church, 622 Old Lancaster Pike, Shillington. Training is provided by New Person Ministries.
The workshop participants will discuss who is mandated to report abuse ,explain the reporting procedure, identify "red flag" indicators of suspected child abuse or neglect, and evaluate situations where there is reasonable cause to suspect child abuse or neglect.
Mandatory reporting applies to nearly all employees and volunteers who come in contact with children, and applies to church activities, regularly scheduled community activities, education and training schools and programs, health care providers, and those providing social or community services and activities.
Registration is limited; free-will donation will be accepted.
