March 20, 2015 New bulletin announcements MCC calls for donations to aid displaced Syrians and Iraqis     Freezing temperatures and snow are adding another layer of deprivation to Syrians and Iraqis who have been forced from their homes to escape violence from the Islamic State group and battling armies in Syria. Mennonite Central Committee is calling for financial donations as it provides heating fuel and blankets this winter and continues to address basic needs of food, shelter and education throughout the year. In addition, MCC welcomes contributions of blankets and comforters to replenish the more than 18,500 that were sent to Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan and Syria for the winter months. You can donate to the Syria and Iraq crisis response or learn how to contribute blankets at mcc.org.   2015 Ecumenical Advocacy Days      Join Mennonite Central Committee's Washington Office to learn about mass incarceration, criminal justice reform, and how to advocate effectively and successfully during this year's Ecumenical Advocacy Days, April 17-20 in Washington, DC. This annual event brings more than 1,000 Christians together. Relief kits provide valuable supplies to families whose lives have been disrupted by war or disaster. Hygiene kits give people the supplies they need to stay healthy.
