Dear Friends, We are grateful for the blessings of the summer. Some of the highlights include our son Josiah's wedding to Brittany Kuepfer in June. They live in Columbus, Ohio and are actively involved in a neighborhood that consists of a number of immigrants. Leon and I had our second trip to West Africa—Senegal, Guinea Bissau, and The Gambia. We again interacted with church leaders there. Following our teaching, one of the leaders said, "I am beginning to understand that we use shame to motivate our people and this is not a good thing." Leon traveled from there to Benin and attended a conference for leaders of the African Association of Bible Schools. We currently are teaching in Albania at a Torchbearer Bible School. It is located in Ersaka in southern Albania and is known as Crossroads. This is a new part of Albania for us, but we have plans to visit some of our friends from the regions that we lived several years ago. The Crossroads School is an international training center with students from Albania and other countries around the world. The current student body includes students from 7 countries. Leon will teach lessons on interpreting the Bible and I will teach on the subject – living well from an emotionally healthy heart. Please pray that we would stay healthy and that our travels would go well. Pray also that the teaching sessions would be enlightening for both student and teacher. Thanks for your support in so many ways Leon & Naomi Zimmerman |
