Praise & Prayer news & updates | | | Our 2020 program theme at Spruce Lake is based on Hebrews 12:1-2 "Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith." | | | Praises: - Praise for our board members and staff that have faithfully joined us remotely via Zoom for Monday staff devotions with prayer and our Wednesday fasting-prayer times.
- Praise for God's provision through our donors which is allowing us to meet critical financial needs among staff during this trying time.
- Praise for forward progress on our sewer plant upgrade which will keep Spruce Lake compliant now and prepared for the future.
- Praise for receipt of forgivable CARES act PPP loan monies which will allow a core team to stay working and forward looking until we re-open.
- Praise for the campground reopening for seasonal campers to utilize their sites. Unfortunately, we are not able to open buildings for guest usage yet.
- Praise for the marriage of our daughter Jessica to Caleb Holt on April 24th.
| | | | Prayer Requests: - Pray for the Franconia Mennonite Camp Association Board and staff at Spruce Lake and Pinebrook as we continue to seek God's direction for the ministry.
- Pray for our healthcare workers and everyone else working diligently to keep people healthy, fed and sheltered.
- Pray for all of those suffering from COVID-19 and for people who have experienced a loss because of this pandemic.
- Pray for God to heal our world and to have mercy on us.
- Pray for many to come to know Christ, to learn how they can have abundant life now and eternal life with Him.
- Pray for Phil and Edna Cassel in maintenance and housekeeping who chose during this time to move permanently to TN to be closer to their children.
- Pray for laid off staff working in critical need industries as temporary workers.
- Pray for spirits to be lifted and hope to continue among all staff, especially those who are laid off and not working.
- Pray for our federal, state and local governments to wisely re-open in a balanced way which permits summer ministry to function at camp.
- Pray for wisdom as our leadership team prayerfully evaluates a progressive opening plan which provides safety, integrity, and viability.
