Update on the Moving in Mission Capital Campaign and renovations at 450 North Prince Street

COVID has delayed us, but we push forward
COVID-19 has been an unfortunate reality that has affected many of us personally. And if we are honest, it has been a big factor for Eastern Mennonite Missions, especially with regard to the Moving in Mission Capital Campaign.

In the early months of 2020, we were experiencing significant momentum. We hosted a groundbreaking event attended by over 250 people, many volunteers helped us tear out walls, ceilings, and lighting, and our fundraising dollars were quickly adding up. But with the pause of construction and in person fundraising conversations, that momentum seems to have stalled a bit.

The construction has restarted and even more importantly, we continue to strongly believe in the mission of the space and to move towards bringing it to reality. But we are hoping you can help us to jump start this campaign again by partnering financially and helping us spread the message.

Here is the current status of our fundraising efforts:
We have received:

$2,644,432
in cash and pledges

which is:

62%
of our $4.2M goal

Are you one of them?
from:

134
generous donors
(individuals, churches, and organizations)

Visit EMM.ORG/450 for more detailed information about the project and the vision behind it.

Volunteers needed!
We know our God makes beautiful things out of dust. And so do construction companies! As construction progresses and we continue to see beautiful spaces being created, there is a lot of dust and dirt that needs to be cleaned up so that the true beauty can be revealed. EMM is looking for volunteers who would be willing to come for a few hours on one or more Saturday mornings to help clean and beautify 450 N. Prince Street.

Bring your family, your youth group, or your Sunday school class and be part of preparing EMM's new office and ministry space in Lancaster City.

Proper safety precautions will be taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Click the button below for more information and to sign up for a volunteer time slot.
Questions? Contact Andrew Mashas at 717-898-2251 ext. 220 or andrew.mashas@emm.org.
Hard hat tours available!

Interested in getting involved but not quite ready to sign up to give or volunteer just yet? Come for a hard hat tour! Hear the vision and see the space with your own eyes. Let us share with you the opportunity for mission God has placed in our hearts and minds. Perhaps God has something to speak to you as well.

Or maybe you've already given. If so, we thank you! And we invite you to come see the impact your generosity is having in this neighborhood through the transformation of an empty building into a community hub where the love of Jesus will be evident to all who enter.

We will keep groups small, wear masks, and practice social distancing during these tours to keep everyone as safe as possible.

Please contact Kate Grieser at kate.grieser@emm.org to schedule a tour.
