Millions of pounds of crayons are discarded annually throughout the United States. Wax crayons are made of petroleum, a chemical that is toxic to our environment. If crayons are not recycled they eventually end up in landfills and never biodegrade. New Danville Church is collecting unwanted crayons throughout the summer for donation to The Crayon Initiative, a non-profit organization, which will recycle the old crayons into new crayons that will be distributed to children's hospitals across the United States. If your children's ministry or church would like to learn how they can partner with New Danville in collecting crayons, send an email to office@newdanvillechurch.com. | | LMC resource partner organization Events & Information | | Do you love to meet people and greet them with a smile?
