Impacting the World with CapabilitiesNovember 2014
Dear Philip & Kelly,

As we conclude our last event, and prepare for the next ones during the holiday season, we would like to take a moment to thank you for supporting Friendship Community! With your help, the Individuals we serve are able to Impact the World with their Capabilities!

Thank you to our Sponsors and Donors for supporting us at our 42nd Anniversary Banquet Celebration! Because of you, we grossed $43,367 and netted $23,325!

808 guests gathered for the event to celebrate the year of 2014 over a buffet dinner at Shady Maple Banquets. Our guest speaker, Ashley DeRamus, spoke of how she is accomplishing her wildest dreams while living with Down Syndrome and shared her vision of, "Don't ever let anyone tell you what you can't do; SHOW them what you can do." She then presented a fashion show featuring her fashion line, "Ashley by Design." Her clothing was modeled by FC's Individuals, Family Members and Friends, and the show ended with a standing ovation.

FC gifted Ashley with an original painting called Coral & Crimson, painted by one of Friendship Heart Gallery's students, Elise Westcott, who also happened to be a model in the show. The painting was inspired by one of Ashley's designs called the Eliza dress. The one and only print of the painting was auctioned at the event.

FC Individual, Edward Aaron Stoltzfus, Jr. received this year's Haverstick Award for his work in giving back to the community, overcoming significant obstacles and surpassing previous capabilities. Congratulations, Ed!

We can't thank our Board Members, Volunteers, Individuals, Team Members, Sponsors, Donors and Guests enough for their generous offerings resulting in a very successful event.

Sincerely,
Your Friends at Friendship Community
