    World Fellowship Sunday
    Sunday, January 18, 2015

World Fellowship Sunday is an opportunity to remind our members that we belong to each other as sisters and brothers in God's household. Each local congregation belongs to a global community of faith that transcends language, nationality, and culture. We are here to support each other, to uphold those who are suffering and being persecuted, and to learn from each other. On this one Sunday each year we encourage each congregational member to become aware of our global Anabaptist family of faith, where we come together around Shared Convictions, a shared history, and shared ways of following Jesus.

3rd Way Collective at Penn State University
This fall marked the launch of "3rd Way Collective," a brand new student organization centered around cultivating peace, justice, and faith at Penn State University. After years of dreaming, University Mennonite Church (State College, PA) hired Ben Wideman as their new pastor for this on-campus group. UMC sees this as an opportunity and challenge to create something new at Penn State. The hope is that this is an organization that provides space for conversation and reflection that is built around a community engaged in building relationships, peacemaking, partnership, and reconciliation. If you know of students currently enrolled at Penn State University, Main Campus, who might have interest in this group, please forward this information to them.
