Each Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift takes an amazing journey into the hands of a child in need—and that journey begins with you! Every shoebox you pack through Samaritan's Purse becomes a powerful tool for evangelism and discipleship, transforming the lives of children and families through the Good News of Jesus Christ. Join the Shoebox Journey! Shoeboxes are collected in your community during National Collection Week, then volunteers prepare them for international shipping at our Operation Christmas Child processing centers. Volunteer National Leadership Teams train local churches how to host outreach events focused on sharing the Gospel as they distribute shoeboxes. Shoebox recipients are invited to participate in The Greatest Journey follow-up discipleship program, which teaches children about Jesus and how to share the Gospel with friends and family.
