Denver House Project—a "GO for DEMO!"

With years in the making, the Denver House Project has hit a major milestone! With $2.8 Million committed to the project, REAL Life Community Services has contracted with Wohlsen Construction to build the soon-to-be "Declaration House"! Ground-breaking Ceremony will be on September 17th, and plans are to open Summer of 2019! We are Changing Lives & Transforming Denver!

We have a $500,000 year end campaign to get us close enough

Summer Highlights

No, NASA did not take over downtown Denver! LCBC let their youth loose in our town and people were BLESSED! In 3 days, a family's house was transformed from blight to home-sweet-home!

We were also visited by a youth group from Siloam Fellowship of Goshen Indiana in June. The group painted pavilions in Denver Memorial Park, cleaned up the yard of a community widow, and blessed REAL Life Community Services in more ways than this newsletter can express!

IT'S NOT AN ILLUSION, IT'S REAL!

You are invited to the REAL Life Community Service's Fall Banquet, Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Woodcrest Retreat. We will be in the new   Indian Rock Dining Room, located at 225 Woodcrest Drive, Ephrata PA 17522. The doors will open at 6:00 pm, and the buffet line with open at 6:30 pm.

Come and see how we are changing northern Lancaster County, person by person, with the hope that Christ gives through His love and salvation.

Community Groups join the REAL effort

Recently, Unruh Insurance Agency presented REAL Life Community Services with a check for $2,500 from winning Erie Insurance Group's Community Service Award! Unruh Insurance also raised $4,000 through their annual car show to help with the Denver House Project.

Salem Reformed and Evangelical Church raised over $1,400 through their Spaghetti Dinner to give towards the Denver House Project!

New Staff Member!

REAL Life Community Services wants to welcome Sunny Redcay to our staff as our Administrator. Sunny, who has been with the ministry as a volunteer bookkeeper since 2010, has been married to Rod, our Executive Director, for 24 years. They have two lovely daughters, two dogs and two cats and enjoy traveling whenever they can get away.

Sunny has a B.A.in Spanish Literature and International Business from Cornell College, and recently finished her Masters in Leadership and Business from WGU. She has worked in ministry since giving her life to the Lord in 1989 and loves to help bring organization out of disorder.

Please feel free to contact her with any questions regarding volunteering, donation, or ideas for new programs or projects.

How can I get involved?

1) Volunteer with food distribution for Power Packs.
2) Volunteer your small group to bring food for a Youth Event at the Lighthouse Youth Center once a month.
3) Volunteer your group to lead a monthly Youth night at the Lighthouse.
4) Help with small maintenance items around the buildings.
5) Come help us with the Icy Treats booth at the Denver Fair.
6) Give your time and talent to mentor a struggling family or youth.
7) Donate money using the enclosed envelope.
8) Go online and donate at www.reallcs.org
9) Contact us to donate time at upcoming events & projects at info@reallcs.org.
10) Pray for our staff, volunteers and participants.
