We have made the decision to postpone the April 25 Flourish event at Bethlehem Community Church in light of the current COVID-19 pandemic. We were so very excited about this event and would like to reschedule this same event later this year.

At this point, we are uncertain of the timing of that event due to the uncertainty of how this pandemic will impact our nation and this world and when it would be wise to reschedule. We will be in touch.

In the meantime, all of you are in our prayers. May you experience the "peace that passes understanding" as you encourage and minister to those around you with the Good News of Jesus in spite of the difficulties we are facing.

During this time of uncertainty, please remember those from your congregation who are living alone as well as those living in retirement locations.  Please do not visit, but call them, write letters or even explore how you might have things delivered to them.  To follow the latest updates from our organization, please see http://www.landiscommunities.org/flu-and-coronavirus-precautions/

During these uncertain times, people have been wondering how they can help when they are to be keeping a distance from people and many volunteering options have been curtailed.  Landis Communities is seeking assistance in creating reusable facemasks.  Please see the attached information for the masks we are seeking for use at Landis Homes and Welsh Mountain Home.  Finished items made be dropped off at either location.  If you have questions, please contact Moniqua Acosta in Volunteer Services 717-509-5409.  The following video link will be helpful as you create them.  https://youtu.be/ueWkAuY3k6Y
During these unprecedented times, it can sometimes feel odd to read things written when COVID-19 was not present.  Before this era began, Landis Communities worked on the inaugural issue of FLOURISH, a new magazine sharing the stories of people from all parts of the organization and how they are living out our new tagline "Cultivating Life, Together."  Please go to this link where you can read the virtual version of the magazine.  http://www.landiscommunities.org/spring-2020-flourish-magazine/.

Golfers, help spread the word.  June 5 is the 29th Annual Landis Adult Day Services Benefit Golf Outing.  It will be held at Foxchase Golf Club in Denver, PA. For information on participating or helping to sponsor this event, which benefits the clients of the Landis Adult Day Services program, please contact Alonna Gautsche Sprunger at 717-209-2490.
