Greetings from Crossfire Youth Ministries,
LIFE….yes really…..LIFE…..is what we are experiencing here at Crossfire….we have been praying for revival in our area for years….and we are seeing a glimpse of what lays ahead….children getting excited about God. Enjoying worship times, eagerly listening to bible stories…..parents starting to attend church…..grandparents coming alive in loving God…..family units changing for the better…..Yes, we are experiencing LIFE.
Last night we were missing over a dozen children due to sports & other issues….I was expecting a small group….but God had other plans….. we had at least 8 first time children show up…..some of them are the 2nd generation of Crossfire kids…..instead of a small evening we had one of our larger nights with the potential for more!
This elementary crew is experiencing LIFE.
Our Ashland Youth center bobbled over the past year between 2 – 6 children every Saturday afternoon. However, the past 2 weeks have seen great interest from area children and Saturday we saw 21 children/teens attend. There was LIFE in the youth center….lots of joy, laughter & excitement. Some of the older teens returned, even more respectful than from previous years…..their fellow peers follow in the respect, and the younger children look up to the older teens…..so they are giving great respect….Our Devotions time was one of LIFE! It is inspiring to watch teens lean into the lesson trying to get the most out of it…..
Several weeks ago we hosted an event in Lancaster called "Art of Marriage" from Family Life. 13 couples attended, with 7 of them Crossfire kids from the past years. We heard many great reports coming back from this event. With one young wife stating that her Husband is a brand new man! He has a heart after God, wants to talk more and is totally different…..LIFE….. This also is truly inspiring to watch healing come to marriages! Another couple shared they are thinking more about what role God is going to play in their relationship! LIFE…..
Recently Reamstown hosted a National Night Out event and asked Crossfire to help supply volunteers to run the games…. I had about 8 signed up to help and was overwhelmed with a turnout of over 30 adults and children who showed up to help the games run smoothly…. Very proud of this team of Crossfire youth who are learning to serve….LIFE.
My wife and I will be taking a young couple through the Art of Marriage class in preparation of leading them through a wedding ceremony in a few weeks…. This will be the very first wedding I will have the honor of participating in with former Crossfire kids…..with a 2nd wedding following the end of September….it is exciting to have walked with some of these children from age 8 years old through teens to now being a part of their wedding ceremony! LIFE.
Crossfire continues to minister to over 125 children each and every week. Your continued prayer covering over Crossfire is desperately needed and we are blessed with your continued financial donations!
