A lot has happened in our world in the last few weeks. I expect that everyone is aware that Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf has asked businesses that are not life-sustaining to close in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19. As a result, the renovation work at 450 North Prince Street has stopped.
But the vision for the 450 project is very much alive. As of this week, 121 individuals, congregations, and businesses have already given and pledged a total of $2,537,247 to this project. That's 60 percent of our goal. Thank you so much for everyone who has committed to bringing the 450 project into reality.
While the renovation work is paused, and all of us are experiencing disruption and uncertainty due to this pandemic, I urge you to take a moment to give thanks for God's love and provision that enables us to be agents of transformation in a broken world. May you find moments to bring healing and hope to neighbors, friends, and family during this uncertain time.
We'll keep in touch over the coming weeks and let you know when the 450 project is again in full swing. The photos above and below were taken just a few days ago. The building will remain like this until Governor Wolf lifts the work restrictions.
