Coronavirus Bible Memorization Challenge, New Baby House Update, and more!

View this email in your browser Please join us in praying for our nation as we navigate the effects of the Coronavirus, physically, emotionally, and economically. We don't know yet what purpose the Lord has in this tumultuous time, but we know He works all things for good (Romans 8:28). During this time of upheaval, many people are being tempted to surrender to fear and panic. But God is still on His throne and you can be a part of spreading faith, not fear! We challenge you to use this time of being quarantined at home to set your mind on the Word and spread truth to those around you. Look for updates on our social media as we encourage you to #SpreadFaithNotFear. Here's how: 1. Memorize one or or more verses about God's peace, protection, provision, freedom from fear, or trusting the Lord. 2. Go LIVE on facebook and quote your verse(s) OR record a video of yourself quoting and post on your social media pages. 3.Tag and challenge 3 of your friends to do the same! (Be sure to use the hashtag!) Let's flood the internet with the Word of God and spread faith, not fear! "for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control." - 2 Timothy 1:7 Piercing Word COVID-19 Update The COVID-19 virus, and subsequent government regulations on events and gatherings, have required many of our performances during the months of March and April to be cancelled. If you were planning to attend any of our events during the upcoming season, please check our website to see if an event is still listed  before finalizing plans to attend.  We are working hard to keep everything updated. As a non-profit ministry, we are supported solely through the generosity of churches, businesses, and individuals who believe in the mission of Piercing Word to "Ignite Passion for the Word of God in the Heart of the Church!"  And, as you can probably imagine, without donations from our live Scripture Performances, we are experiencing a lack of income which is resulting in financial hardship for our organization. View All Upcoming Scripture Performance Dates        Congratulations to the House Family! In contrast with the current events, we have some exciting news! Please meet the newest member of the House family: Malakai Shiloh House. Malakai was born on February 5th and is growing fast! Malakai Shiloh means "God's messenger of peace" and we pray that God will use Malakai as a messenger of the Gospel of peace to all he encounters. He has already brought so much joy to the House family and our entire team. Continued prayers for health, peace, and rest are appreciated as the House family adjusts to being a family of five.                 Bible2School Performances Piercing Word was performing for a Bible2School group of largely unchurched, public schooled 4th graders earlier this month.  There is one little boy in their group who usually falls asleep from his medication during large group activities and is often very distracted instead of fully participating. However, during the Piercing Word performance, he was riveted! He was so engaged with the Scripture Performance that about a third of the way through, he leaned over and asked one of his leaders, "Is this real?" HIs leader responded, "Yes! These stories are from the Bible." You could see him sitting up and not taking his eyes off of the performers. After the Scripture Performance, one of the Piercing Word Team Members sat at the table and began to ask some of the children questions relating to what they had seen. This boy who never spoke up was engaged and responding to her questions. Praise the Lord for the powerful impact of His Word on these children! Pray for the rehearsals for The One Story beginning soon.
