Stewardship and community have always been central values in Aaron Groff's life. From his days growing up on the family farm, through his career at Ephrata National Bank, and into his church and family life, Aaron has been a leader in this area for many years. And earlier this month, that leadership and service was recognized by the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce which awarded Aaron with the Exemplar Award, an award given annually to a "local leader who has made significant contributions to community organizations and has demonstrated a long-term commitment to the Lancaster Community."
A stalwart in the Ephrata community, Aaron recently retired from his role as the president of Ephrata National Bank in December 2019, after having worked there for 53 years. When remembering Aaron's legacy at the bank, one colleague remarked, "He probably cares the least about dollars and cents of any bank president. He cares about people, about the relationships and investing in those relationships. The only reason money is important is because it can impact lives."
Aaron has served on EMM's Investment Fund advisory committee for many years and most recently has helped lead the Moving in Mission Capital Campaign by serving as a co-chair of the Steering Committee. We are so thankful for Aaron's generosity and service, and for his dedication to be an active part of God's mission in this world. Congratulations, Aaron!
