REAL Life Happenings this Summer! 

July 2021 F&M College Students visit REAL Life and the Declaration House! Rod had a great time hosting these F&M College students talking about faith, community, and affordable housing! THIS FRIDAY, JULY 2nd, IS OUR FIRST FRIDAY FOOD DRIVE 3-5pm!! Every first Friday of the month, we will be hosting a Food Drive. It's a way the community can give back and help donate items that we need. You can drop off food at any time from 3-5 pm on the first Friday of each month. Directions: Go to 240 Main Street, Denver PA 17517. Drive between the Turkey Hill building and the Declaration House and you'll see the Warehouse 916 next to the rear parking lot! Your generosity is providing hope and help to your community through this season. Would you consider making a gift to continue the work of REAL Life Community Services? We are so thankful to partner with you! (Drop off on Friday, July 2nd, 3-5pm) Thanks to everyone who gave, including this donation that a family ordered through Amazon! We received over 1,400lbs of food at June's "First Friday Food Drive!"  Val Weaver and Mary Beth Levan worked hard to weigh and inventory all that food!  Yes, we recycled the boxes! Pick up at our office at the Declaration House.   We are looking for volunteers!! We are hosting the Financial Literacy Course again this upcoming fall! We are looking for people to help with childcare (there are 7 weeks, so each person can take one week or one person can take several weeks), and people to sign up for providing a meal each of the seven weeks. If you would like to sign up for one or more, please contact sunny@reallcs.org. Check out the flyer below to see the dates that we need volunteers for! Stay tuned, as we will be opening up registration next month!  We have recently hired Clarence Rutt as our new Facilities Maintenance Manager. Clarence Rutt is going to be keeping us up and running! Clarence Rutt started helping REAL at fifth-quarter parties. He's been working with the fair stand every fall, Tuesday nights at the Lighthouse, and helps with maintenance at the Lighthouse and the transitional home (Glory House).  He is married to Holly and they have three children, Kaitlyn, Brock, and Geneva.  Food he can't do without- wings or a good cheeseburger. ** ATTENTION PARENTS ** Camp Conquest, a local partner, is offering week-long day camps from June 27- August 6. A bus will pick up children, ages 7-12, at the Declaration House parking lot. See www.campconquest.org for more information. Scholarships are available by request at Camp Conquest.
