What's new for 2022?

January 2022 What an amazing year we have had!  So many ups and downs, but in the end, we've been able to help so many people in need! We'd like to wish you, and your loved ones, a Happy New Year with the HOPE that you will have many blessings and prosperity in the year to come! Brand New Programs Starting this Year; On January 19th REAL Life will start a new focus on senior connections!  Every 1st & 3rd Wednesday mornings from 8:30 to 11 at the Adamstown Library, there will be a time for anyone ages 60 and up to come together, have coffee, play games, work on arts & crafts, and more.  For more information or to sign up for this new fun program call our office at 717-336-7797. We hope to see you there!   Starting on January 27th we are hosting "Thinking Thursdays" to connect our community together!  That night we will be helping you prepare to file your income taxes; local professionals will review basic details about tax preparation and take your questions. Then from February through September, Every Thursday night from 7-8pm at the Lighthouse Community Center we will have a different topic to learn about and discuss. There will be different themes each week of the month;  First Thursday of the month, we'll have Mental Health America talk about different aspects of mental health.  Second Thursday we'll discuss different ways to improve our lives.  Third Thursday there will be a different art or craft to learn.  Fourth Thursday will be focused on financial literacy. Fifth Thursday will be game night; different each time. These Thursday evening discussions are open to every adult in the community. Childcare will be provided upon request. Neighborhood Santa REAL Life Community Services partnered with the Neighborhood Santa Program to provide Christmas gifts to 116 students in the Ephrata and Cocalico School districts.  Angel trees were placed in churches and local sites where community members took ornaments and bought gifts for a child in need.  There were stocking stuffer drop boxes at several area businesses, as well.  Lights for All at Refreshing Mountain Thank you to all 588 car loads that came to see us at Refreshing Mountain on 12/9-12/12. We raised over $3900 and got to spend time with so many  wonderful people!
