September 2022 FREE Bingo Night TONIGHT, September 1st! Join us 7-8pm at the Lighthouse Community Center! Make it a date night or bring your family! Yummy snacks will be provided. Great prizes for every round! THIS FRIDAY is our First Friday Food Drive!  September 13th - September 17th we will be back at Pavilion 3, serving up your favorite frozen desserts and now offering Farm Show Milkshakes! This year we will also be hosting Faith and Family Night again! Wednesday, September 14th, at the main stage, starting at 6:30pm. We will have Comedian Gordon Douglas, Children's Entertainer Phredd Ukulele One Man Band, and music by Three Cords Bound! A great night for the whole family! Facebook Event Link! Power Packs Registration now open— Cocalico School District families that qualify for free and reduced lunches also qualify for Power Packs, a weekly educational program with a healthy recipe, the main ingredients to make that recipe, and a couple of staple food items, like milk and eggs! Register Here! Momentum begins this fall! Starting September 20th, mentoring is held every Tuesday from 6:30 pm to 8 pm during the school year. Students will meet at the Lighthouse Community Center at 239 Main Street, Denver PA. Mentoring guarantees a young person that there is someone who cares about them. A child needs to know that they are not alone in dealing with the day-to-day challenges of life. Our Young adult mentors seek to be a friend who is there to help in any number of situations.   Please contact us to learn more about how your child can be a part of the Momentum mentoring program. Contact Us!  We will also be hosting 2 pre-game parties before the Cocalico football games for students to enjoy fun games, food, and connect with caring young adults. Are you 60+? Extra Give Page REAL Life Community Services applied for the State Farm Neighborhood Assist Grant to purchase a van for their food distribution programs and for general transportation needs in the Cocalico School District.  We will be receiving the grant check at Faith & Family Night, Wednesday, September 14, 6:30 pm at the Denver Fair.. Thank you to Matt Williams, local State Farm Agent, for providing us this opportunity and supporting our mission!  We are SO CLOSE but we haven't reached the top of the thermometer just yet!  Click here to give! Summer is a time of family fun, getting away, and taking a break from our worries and struggles in life!   With the busyness of summer, we usually see a decline in donations when there is usually a decline in need to balance it out. Unfortunately, this summer, we've seen an increase in homelessness, food insecurity, and poverty!
