What makes for a successful ministry?  Amazing supporters!  This year's Annual Fundraiser Banquet was proof that we have the best volunteers, financial supporters and prayer warriors cheering us on to complete all that God has laid before us.  We appreciate all that you do for this ministry and the encouragement that events such as the banquet give us.   Please remember, that although events slow a bit for the summer, there are always things brewing in the background.  We covet your prayers and continued monthly support as you feel led.  Right now, more than any time in the past, R.E.A.L. Life Community Services  needs to know that you are here as we step out into new ventures and adventures in serving those in need in our area.  A child can't know how much they are loved by the Lord until they see the Lord in action; we are His hands and feet. Our team, consisting of five students, a young adult, and myself, returned on March 14th tired but encouraged.  We were able to visit two different schools and reconnect with several groups that we had ministered to the previous year.  We reminded them that every person needs to feel like they are accepted, appreciated, acknowledged, and cared for.  I really believe that this trip helped to strengthen the team even more than the people they ministered to.  We shared the hope found in Jesus, prayed with locals, and lead them to Christ!   The Lighthouse is getting a Makeover!   There are some major improvements needed at the Lighthouse.  Some of them have just been fixed up, while other projects will have to wait.  We put a nice walkway from the back of the house to the parking lot. Thanks to a small group from DOVE Westgate Church!  They even finished the weeding, mulching, and flower planting job that was started by third graders at Hinkletown Mennonite School the week before.  If you have any construction talent or experience and want to help stud in, drywall, or tile a bathroom, please call Rod at 717-368-7133.  The plumbing work will be donated by Cocalico Plumbing & Heating! Rod's Ramblings   I am blown away by how generous our community has become! Did you know that Reamstown is the #1 most giving zip code (giving 9.2% of their income) In the county?! Lancaster is above both the state and national averages.  As R.E.A.L. Life continues forward with our Denver House Collective Impact Project, we are seeing the reality of this data, first hand!  We want to impact as many families as we can in our community.  Would you consider coming along side of us to make an impact that can change a life?  Who knows, maybe your gift will help a mom get a better job, keep a kid off the streets, or help a student finish high school or get into college or start a business!  Please consider what you can do to help  us by "Providing REAL Hope in our community!" Lighthouse Youth Center The Lighthouse has become a place of refuge for some.  Every week we see young people come in excited to hang out with their friends and leave just a bit more encouraged.  There is a greater need to connect to even more youth.  That is why we have expanded our Tuesday night program to include 7th & 8th Graders.  We cannot do this without your support!
