June 15th is RIGHT around the corner - do you have your team registered yet?

On June 15, 2019, Camp Conquest and REAL Life Community Services are holding our  first REAL Conquest Trail Run. Enjoy a 5K trail run designed for individuals or teams of four to conquer 12 obstacles and multiple hills.
The purpose is to build community awareness of Camp Conquest day camp programs and to raise funds for the Declaration House . There is still time to register! For further details of the event, please contact Steve Weaver, at       steve@campconquest.org or at 717-336-2541

REAL Conquest Registration
Because of the generous support from this community and some amazing connections to outside foundations and government agencies, we have raised, to date, over $3.4 Million!  But we're not done!  We still have about $82,000 to go!  Would you help us complete the Victory Challenge Campaign by making your tax-deductible contribution to this great project?  In the end, this building will provide 10 full apartments for families in need, a social service hub and a medical center.

For more info, call Rod at 717-368-7133.  Together, we can change lives and transform Denver!

Save the Date (s)!

It's that time of  the year—FAIR SEASON!  The REAL Icy Treats booth will be at the Denver Fair September 10-14, with our FAMOUS milkshakes and cones.  We can always use volunteers 18 years of age and over for 4 hour shifts during the fair.  If you are interested, please email sue@reallcs.org We can't wait to serve you!

REAL Life Community Services Fall Banquet, will be held Thursday, October 17 at 6:30 pm at Woodcrest Retreat Center's Indian Rock Center.  Food will be provided by Hershey Farms Restaurant and entertainment will be comedian, Gordan Douglas.  Please put this date on your calendar.  If you have any questions, please email sue@reallcs.org

Also, the Extraordinary Give will be Friday, November 22 from 12:01 am to 11:59 pm.  We will have tables at Weis Markets in Ephrata, Courtyard CafĂ© in Denver and at Foxchase Golf Banquet Room that day.  Give to REAL Life Community Services that day and join the community in supporting non-profit organizations countywide!  Let's show them what makes Lancaster County special!

Hinkletown Mennonite School
Esbenshades Greenshouses and Mrs. Denlinger's 3rd grade class helped to beautify downtown Denver, spreading 15 bags of mulch and planting 8 flats of flowers around the Lighthouse Youth Center.  Afterwards, the 24 students cleaned up behind the  Declaration House, picking up branches and debris to help the landscapers to mow faster.  Thank you Hinkletown Mennonite for your support and kindness!
When REAL Life Community Services is in need, we turn to the Lord, who is our Hope in times of trouble.  We thank Him so much for the support of churches and individuals who hold us up in prayer continually.  One such group comes from Blainsport Mennonite Church, who meet regularly and pray specifically for us and the community members who we serve and who we will serve in the future.  We appreciate all believers who take the time to remember us.  Hallelujah for Blainsport Mennonite Church and their commitment to see His work done through us!

If your church would like to have updated information to use for prayer, please contact us to establish a REAL Life Community Services Advocate for your congregation.  Together, we can Change Lives and Transform Denver!

REAL Life Community Services is so excited to announce plans to have an afterschool program from 3-6 pm  at the Lighthouse Youth Center for the school year 2019-2020.  This program will be for elementary age students of working parents.  Focus will be on homework completion and extra-curricular fun, so that busy moms and dads can spend their evening enjoying quality family time instead of trying to catch up before the next day starts the whole process all over.

We are still in need of volunteers, especially those certified in elementary education with the Commonwealth of PA.  If you are interested in volunteering, please email sunny@reallcs.org.  More  information on registering students and registration will be online August 1st at www.reallcs.org.
Special Event with Weis Markets THIS SUMMER!

With so much focus on downtown Denver, our friends at Weis Markets, 331 N Reading Road in Ephrata, wanted to do their part to help out.  This summer the employees of Weis Markets will be hosting a fundraiser to benefit the Declaration House project and just to have some good old fun.  There will be food, friends, a bouncy house and a dunk tank.  Join us in celebrating community and summer!  More information to come . . .
