Greetings!

Joseph escorted Mary who was "great with child" on the arduous trip to Bethlehem for the census, whisked his family to Egypt when Herod threatened to kill baby Jesus, and worked hard to provide for them all the days of his life.

God designed men to be strong on behalf of women and children, and when they are, families flourish.

Ben didn't know that his girlfriend, Olivia, was pregnant. He just knew that he loved her, and he loved her little girl.

When Olivia first came to us, she said, "I'm really hoping I'm not pregnant. I haven't told my boyfriend because I'm afraid he might break up with me. I'm living with my mom, and she doesn't know either. I can't believe I let this happen again — I already have a little girl!"

When Olivia's test showed positive, she blurted out, "I have to have an abortion! I'm sure that's what my mom would say. And that way I won't need to tell my boyfriend." We shared with Olivia all of her pregnancy options and how we could help. Olivia stood up, in a hurry to leave, and we weren't able to reach her for a while.

When we did, the news was surprisingly good. "I told my boyfriend what you said about helping me, and he said, "I want to help too!" He got a better job and wants to be in a bigger place to take care of us. Plus, he wants to take the prenatal lessons with me."

True to his word, Ben accompanied Olivia to their first prenatal lesson. He said, "I haven't been the best boyfriend, but I'm changing. The men at my new job are Christians, and I want to have faith like them."

Ben's heart for change has made it easy to interact with them. They're readily absorbing the concepts in their prenatal classes and engaging in spiritual conversations. We're praying they both make a firm commitment to Jesus and find a good church home.
