Fwd: Help each Anabaptist member to be strong

Greetings Phil & Kelly Horning,

We need each other to wash each other's hands.  This is what I noticed in India, at workshops with eight different conferences from India and one from Nepal.   It takes one to bring the water, another to pour the water, and yet another to provide a towel.  We are not self-sufficient, but we need each other to receive God's gracious blessings.

Mennonite World Conference creates and nurtures the spaces for these global relationships to flourish.

  • We walk with our indigenous brothers and sisters in Panama who are losing their land and are struggling with how to respond as Jesus might.
  • We walk with our Vietnamese sisters and brothers who experience persecution even as they gather for biblical study.
  • We walk with our Angolan sisters and brothers who are not sure where to start when there is overwhelming need no matter which way one turns.
  • We walk with several of our largest member churches who are struggling with disunity and leadership issues.

The church is the Body of Christ here on earth, and a glimpse into the Kingdom of God.  Join us in prayer that each of our member churches can witness to Jesus Christ, even through struggle and suffering.

This is an important year for MWC in North America.  In just a few months (July 2015) the MWC Global Assembly will be held in North America for the first time in 25 years. Lots of information can be found here about the upcoming Assembly: http://www.mwc-cmm.org/pennsylvania-2015. We hope you are planning to experience the vitality of our global church family for yourself.

This means that not only are we raising funds for MWC's core ministries, but we need to double our revenue in order to cover Assembly costs beyond registration fees, expenses that make it possible for more Global South participants to come to the USA. This is a challenge for MWC and we ask for your prayerful support in 2014 and in 2015 to fund both priorities.

Please consider what you can contribute as your year-end gift to support our core ministries, and a gift above and beyond that to support the upcoming Global Assembly. Please click here for giving online by credit card, PayPal and other giving mechanisms:  http://www.mwc-cmm.org/article/ways-give.

Thank you for being part of a church community where we care for each other.

In Christ,

Support the Duggar Family!

Friday, November 21, 2014

Dear Phil,

Rabid homosexual activists have made America's favorite family enemy Number One.

The Duggar Family from TLC network's 19 Kids and Counting has shared their strong Christian faith with millions of families across America for years. They are unashamedly pro-life and Christ-centered.

The Duggars are under a malicious attack
Because of their uncompromising stand on marriage and abstinence, the homosexual lobby has drawn a bully bead on Jim and Michelle Duggar. Gay activists are publicly labeling Jim and Michelle with words like "ignorance" and "fear mongering."

In the past week, homosexuals launched a very frightening and fast-growing petition asking TLC to cancel 19 Kids and Counting. Already, their hate-filled petition has gathered 130,000 signatures, thanks to the liberal media's propaganda machine.

Sign our petition to TLC
TLC needs to know you support the Duggars and 19 Kids and Counting! If TLC hears from enough Christians, they will not even consider canceling the show.

Our goal is 1,000,000 signatures by Christmas!

TAKE ACTION

Sign our Petition to TLC, urging them to continue airing 19 Kids and Counting. We will deliver it the day after Christmas!

Forward this email to all of your friends and family. Ask them to sign the petition too!

Post this alert to your Facebook page and help us spread the word!
