Hello Everyone!
As you know, last week was a big week for CWS-Lancaster! Not only was it a week of celebration, as we recognized the strength and resilience of refugees through World Refugee Day, but Lancaster also welcomed its first Syrian family, from the current humanitarian crisis in Syria.
I would personally like to take this time to extend a most heartfelt thank you, to you, the welcoming community, who has shown an incredible embrace towards Lancaster's refugees. Throughout my work with refugees, I am continually amazed and inspired when I see others who are just as passionate and motivated to be a part of this worthy cause. I believe, and have seen, that refugees are incredibly strong and determined individuals, and I am humbled everyday that I work with them. The work that CWS-Lancaster does, day in and day out, is dynamic and meaningful to the lives of so many, and I am honored to be a part of this team. But we couldn't do it without the support of our local, Lancaster community. And for this, I am ever grateful to you!
We have great plans for this next year, so stay tuned and keep in touch! I'm looking forward to many interactions with each of you, and hoping to put a face to your name as the months come along. Let's connect over some coffee!
Truly grateful,
