We're writing to let you know that the organizers of the MCC Philly Festival & Auction have decided not to hold the 2015 sale due to a shortage of volunteers. If you're interested in volunteering to help organize the 2016 sale, or if you have feedback and ideas for future sales, please contact Ken Beidler at kenbeidler@yahoo.com.
We're sorry we won't have the chance to gather with you as a community this year, and we hope you'll consider some of these other ways to support MCC's work in Philadelphia this fall:
Prisoner care kits: In partnership with Crossroads Community Center in North Philadelphia, MCC East Coast is welcoming donations of prisoner care kits to distribute to people in the greater Philadelphia area who are currently incarcerated or who are participating in re-entry ministries after leaving prison. Education programs: In Philadelphia, MCC's Global Family education program is partnering with three faith-based organizations offering after-school and summer programming by supporting collaboration among programming directors at Abundant Life Academy in South Philadelphia, Crossroads Community Center in North Philadelphia and Oxford Circle Christian Community Development Association (OCCCDA) in Northeast Philadelphia.
