| The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy. I have come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10
Nurturing Hope and Facilitating Healing = leading them into the abundant life. | | |
As a new believer, at 18 years old in 1972, I heard John 10:10 for the first time. The abundant life! That is what the ministry of Family Resource and Counseling Center ultimately offers those in our communities who are without hope and who need healing.
The issues we have helped precious people through this year have caused me to dig my heals in deeper and grasp, with white knuckles, tighter, to my role of sustaining this ministry. The issues are local and private, but suffice it to say that if it was late-breaking news in Lancaster or Chester Counties, we may be serving those involved. God calls on us to help someone through a temporary glitch, and He calls on us for the major crises. When I write a grant proposal, one of the questions is frequently, "How many will be affected by your work?" Well, what do I say to that? In the grand scheme of things, how many people are affected when someone with anger, anxiety, depression, any form of mental illness receives hope and healing...or doesn't. Thousands? Millions? How many are affected in some way to a school shooting? A suicide? It is immeasurable. To receive true hope, or true healing, God's Word is part of the process; prayer is part of the process. The intervention of Jesus Christ by way of His Holy Spirit orchestrates the process. We honestly cannot continue to keep our doors open without the consistent, prayerful intervention of God's people who see value in what is done behind the closed doors of our counseling offices. We charge for our counseling services, and we do accept most major insurances. But those subsidized fees pay the operating portion of this ministry only. Our counselors are professionals with many years of experience and expert credentials; and they care deeply for those whom they serve. Often families facing a crisis are dealing with financial constraints as well. It is through the ongoing gifts of God's people that we are able to operate using a sliding scale. FRCC has no large corporate backing; our doors remain open because you have cared and because you value what we do. Thank you. Please join us for our fundraising banquet on April 15 at 6:30 at Shady Maple Banquet Center. The cost of the meal is paid for by our generous sponsors. If you are not able to attend the banquet, won't you consider making a recurring donation to help sustain this ministry for God's glory? | Join us for the FRCC Annual Fundraising Banquet on April 15 |
We hope you are planning to attend this year's banquet. Would your business like to sponsor a table that will enable us to invite local friends to the banquet? Would you like to attend? Would you like to fill a table with friends and family? The Silent Auction is just another enjoyable part of the evening, along with music by SWAN 4-Kids and testimonies of our some of our clients who wanted to share how God has used FRCC in their lives. Some of the items on the Silent Auction this year are tickets to local restaurants and shows; a hot air balloon ride for two; greens fees for two or four at Fox Chase; organic herb gardens; jewelry and much more. You may click the link below before April 4 to reserve your space at the banquet, or call us at 717-442-9577 to make your reservation.

I speak of meeting the needs of our communities, fundraising, and sustaining FRCC, but without PRAYER you could give FRCC a billion dollars and our service would be simply helpful, clinical and temporal. When PRAYER lays the foundation for all that we do, we know that our outcomes are eternal, clinical, therapeutic and a result of wisdom from God's Word. Thank you for praying for FRCC. If you have a prayer group, please add us to your list. God hears those prayers and lives are changed. Thank you for your partnership,
Roxanne Holcomb
