| The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy. I have come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.John 10:10
Nurturing Hope and Facilitating Healing = leading them into the abundant life. | | | As the Executive Director of Family Resource and Counseling Centers, I have no idea what transpires in these lovely, peaceful offices. I do know that it often does not begin as lovely and peaceful. I also know that lives are changed. One of the most significant and poignant demonstrations of that is the counselor's countenance when a victory has been won and the client(s) is discharged with tools for successful rebuilding. Are they all wins? NOPE! Facing a difficult past and working toward a joyful future is hard work friends, and it requires buy-in from everyone involved. But those individuals with whom we work are worth the work; everyone is! A therapist shared with me yesterday that he has been counseling a woman who came to him with depression and anxiety, a life torn and tattered. He has such joy that she is at a completely different place now, recognizing triggers to anxiety and employing Biblical strategies and coping mechanisms that give her hope and healing. She is no longer defeated. Implementing excellent clinical, therapeutic strategies, God's Word; prayer; and a heart that desires change is a recipe for hope and healing, and for living the abundant life. | JOIN US FOR FRCC'S FIRST ANNUAL FAMILY FUN'D RUN |
Model the value of exercise -- and of supporting the ministry of FRCC -- by teaming up with your family or friends for the first annual FRCC FAMILY FUN'D RUN. And you get to help us plan this event. We are looking at Saturday, October 1, 2016.
Do you know of any local events that will conflict with this? Do you know of any local talent or vendor that we should invite? Do you have a business or talent that you would like to showcase that day that could fit in with family fun? Would you or the business for which you work want to sponsor this event? There will be different levels of runners from adults pushing children in strollers to elementary children, through adults running their own track. Many other activities will be planned. So, follow these instructions: - take out your phone, calendar or computer
- scroll through to October 1
- mark that date FRCC FAMILY FUN'D RUN
Summer is a difficult time financially at FRCC and this FUN'D RAISER will be important to get us through the fall season; it will also be a wonderful time for us to connect with you for a fun day. This is a ticketed event and there will be complimentary refreshments available and food and goods for sale.

JOYCE GOODHART Joyce is FRCC's Administrative Assistant in our Lancaster office. I've commented to her on her kindness and compassion toward our clients and she answered me with this explanation, "Before being employed for 7 years at FRACC my family and I were clients. I am very thankful for that help when I needed it most. I also feel blessed that through that time God prepared me for serving the clients who now walk through FRCC's doors. My heart is well-aware of the fears and anxieties that some may feel coming for help." Joyce is now a wife, mother, step-mother, Nana, and Mimi to a blended family of 16 with a new granddaughter due in October. Her time outside of the office is filled with school activities, baseball games, and traveling to Colorado and Virginia to visit family. In her spare time, Joyce loves gardening and the outdoors...she's been known to do some turkey hunting!

I speak of meeting the needs of those in our communities who are hurting. I talk of the need for fundraising, and of sustaining FRCC, but without PRAYER you could give FRCC a billion dollars and our service would be simply helpful, clinical and temporal. When PRAYER lays the foundation for all that we do, we know that our outcomes are eternal, clinical, therapeutic and a result of wisdom from God's Word. Thank you for praying for FRCC. If you have a prayer group, please add us to your list. God hears those prayers and lives are changed. Would you like to start a prayer group for FRCC? Meeting prayer partners for coffee and prayer in the building's cafe' would bless the lives of many. Would you like to begin that prayer group by inviting just a few friends and watching it grow? I would love to treat you to a coffee in our cafe' and talk about how to begin an FRCC Prayer Group.
Thank you for your partnership,
Roxanne Holcomb
