Latest News : July 2016 Greetings from Crossfire Youth Ministries. This month we are highlighting a group of students who attended Greenview Bible Camp and another crew that enjoyed a missions trip to Harrisburg PA.   Greenview Bible Camp partnered with Crossfire to assist 6 children in attending camp the last week of June. This crew was looking forward to an amazing week of swimming, splashing in a creek, riding horses, go-carts, crafts and lots of other activities. One of the songs they learned was "No Longer a Slave", hand motions to the song were learned and the one young boy is sharing those motions with the Crossfire group on a Wednesday evening. By the last day they were tired, but very thankful for a great opportunity.   FAITH INTO ACTION is a ministry organization that consists of several churches in Harrisburg with a desire to reach the city with the Love of Jesus Christ.    On Monday July 11th a crew of 10 departed for the week to live in a church in Harrisburg and to serve the city.   Mornings were dedicated to serving within the Harrisburg School system helping with a variety of different chores. Some painting, picking up trash, pulling weeds or organizing a library.   Afternoons saw 60 teens spread around the city handing out bottles of water & soda cans to residents. Door hangers & cards tucked in the soda cans invited residents to a Saturday Block Party.   Each evening consisted of a time of worship & a message given by X-NFL legend Joe Jackson. He did an amazing job sharing God's heart & encouragement to the students.   Saturday's block drew over 1400 people. Free games, prizes, food and entertainment all provided for an excellent day of sharing God's love to Harrisburg residents. People heard the gospel, seeds were sown, and lives were changed.   Sunday was a close out service and one young man from the block party showed up at church and asked Jesus into his life. The change on his face was immediate!    We are looking forward to serving the city again in July 2017.   Looking ahead we have a swim event in Elverson with the High School group. Joining up with several other youth ministries for a fun filled day of fellowship, food and splashing in a pond. Woodcrest Retreat is partnering with Crossfire to provide the opportunity for 11 children to enjoy a full week of camp, and again on the 2nd week of August another 21 children enjoying a full week of day camp. We truly appreciate working with local ministries to reach the children in our communities with the love of Jesus Christ.  A high school road trip to Kentucky to enjoy Noah's Ark is coming up in 2 weeks. Looking to inspire students to enjoy God's Word.  Your continued prayers & financial support are vital in providing many opportunities to share the Love of Jesus Christ to our area children and families.    Weekly we continue to serve up to 40 children on a Wednesday evening. Thursday evenings up to 30 children & Friday evenings see about 25 teens. Our Ashland Youth Center draws bout 15 each Saturday & 4-6 young adults on a Tuesday evening. As God continues to bring children into our midst we do our best to share the Love of Jesus Christ with each of them. We value your prayers and financial support - Together we are making a difference. Our 4th annual banqet at Weaver Markets is coming Tuesday October 11th 6pm-8pm. Save the date and join us for an amazing evening of fellowship and encouragement to share what God is doing in the lives of Crossfire.
